About El Médano
El Médano is a sand and rock break on the south coast of Tenerife, facing south-east.
It works best with a south-west swell and a north-west wind, which blows offshore here and keeps the waves clean. It works on most tides; rocks show at low tide.
Recommended level: beginner. Watch out for rocks and localism.
