About Playa del Socorro
Playa del Socorro is a sand and rock break on the north coast of Tenerife, facing north-east.
It works best with a north swell and a south-west wind, which blows offshore here and keeps the waves clean. It works on most tides; rocks show at low tide.
Recommended level: beginner. Watch out for crowded line-ups.
The best months are January, February and December: in January conditions are good on 27% of days, dropping to 1% in summer. Based on wave and wind data since 1958.
