About Playa de Martiánez

Playa de Martiánez is a sandy beach break on the north coast of Tenerife, facing NE.

It works best with a NE swell and a SW wind, which blows offshore here and keeps the waves clean. It works on most tides; at high tide it can turn into a shore break.

Recommended level: beginner. Watch out for crowded line-ups.

The best months are January, March and December: in March conditions are good on 30% of days, dropping to 0% in summer. Based on wave and wind data since 1993.
