About Sotavento

Sotavento is a sandy beach break on the south coast of Fuerteventura, facing east.

It works best with a south-west swell and a west wind, which blows offshore here and keeps the waves clean. It works on most tides; at high tide it can turn into a shore break.

Recommended level: beginner. Watch out for crowded line-ups.
