About Punta Blanca (K16)
Punta Blanca (K16) is a reef break (rocky bottom) on the west coast of Tenerife, facing west.
It works best with a west swell and an east wind, which blows offshore here and keeps the waves clean. It usually breaks best from mid to high tide; at low tide the bottom gets shallow, so take care.
Recommended level: advanced. Watch out for rocks, localism and crowded line-ups.
The best months are January, February and December: in February conditions are good on 8% of days, dropping to 0% in summer. Based on wave and wind data since 1958.
