About Playa de Famara
Playa de Famara is a sandy beach break on the north coast of Lanzarote, facing north-west.
It works best with a north swell and a south-east wind, which blows offshore here and keeps the waves clean. It works on most tides; at high tide it can turn into a shore break.
Recommended level: beginner. Watch out for crowded line-ups and rip currents.
