About La Barra
La Barra is a sand and rock break on the north coast of Gran Canaria, facing north-west.
It works best with a north-west swell and a south-east wind, which blows offshore here and keeps the waves clean. It works on most tides; rocks show at low tide.
Recommended level: intermediate. Watch out for rocks and crowded line-ups.
